DcubeD & EOMAP shortlisted for the ESA Global Space Markets Challenge
Published on Fri, 17.09.2021 – 13:20 CEST in Awards, covering DCUBEDSmall companies active in NewSpace often have a hard time reaching international customers. The ESA Global Space Markets Challenge is designed to help. Two German companies are now on the shortlist for the competition.
The objective of the competition is to select, among all the applicants, the six small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the space sector (three from the upstream and three from the downstream) that present the most promising and convincing internationalization plans for their products and/or services. Longlist of the ESA Global Space Markets Challenge
On September 10, 2021, the winners of the preliminary round were announced. On the so-called longlist, three German companies - DcubeD, LEVITY UG and SPiN - were on the upstream side. With Breeze Technologies, ConstellR and EOMAP, three more were on the downstream side.

Shortlist of the ESA Global Space Markets Challenge
A total of 12 European companies are now on the shortlist, including DcubeD and EOMAP. This means that two German NewSpace players have the chance to take one of the first places. For this purpose, all applicants who have made it onto the shortlist will present themselves once again to a jury on September 28. The content of the presentations will be the internationalization plans. The total of six best (1st - 3rd place each in Upstream/Downstream) companies will be announced by ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher on September 30, 2021.
