EEA: 5 million euros for High Resolution Layers (HRL)

EEA has issued an RFP for a land monitoring service contract. The purpose of the RFP is to award a master service contract that includes the creation and update of the two existing products HRL Grassland and HRL Forest, as well as the creation and update of new HRL products (HRL Crop Types, HRL Vegetated Land Cover Component). Bids for the contract, estimated at a total value of 5 million euros, can be submitted until August 20, 2021, 14:00.

JRC: 10 million euros for fire risk forecasting and fire monitoring

The JRC is awarding a contract divided into two lots for fire risk forecasting (Lot 1) and fire monitoring (Lot 2). Companies bidding for the contracts will support the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS). In doing so, they will contribute to the development of the Global Wildfire Information System (GWIS) as a reliable and high-quality service.

In order to achieve this goal, data will be analyzed in Lot 1 to produce corresponding fire risk forecasts. The estimated value of the contract is 4.5 million euros.

Lot 2 is dedicated to the fire hazard monitoring service. For this, the contract value is estimated at 5.5 million euros.

According to the tender documents, it is possible to apply for both lots. The term for both projects is 72 months and can be optionally extended. The application deadline for both lots is July 28, 2021, 4:00 p.m. local time.

JRC: 4.4 million euros for data validation

The JRC continues to invite tenders for a contract to validate global land data. Ground-based observation (in-situ measurement) will be used to systematically collect, organize, and use Copernicus data. The validation is necessary to ensure the quality of the subsequently disseminated Copernicus global land data (Copernicus Global Land Products, CGL). The contract has a total estimated value of €4.4 million, a duration of 48 months, and an optional extension. Bids must be received by 4:00 p.m. on August 6, 2021.
