POLARIS Raumflugzeuge receives pre-series A investment

After the Bremen-based company received a contract from the German Armed Forces in July 2021 to study its use, the rollout of the full-scale ALEDA test platform took place in March. In early April, POLARIS Spacecraft received a pre-series A investment.
The company led by Dr.-Ing. Alexander Kopp announced that POLARIS Space Aircraft has closed another round of financing. The investment will enable the company to expand its staff and corporate facilities and make preparations for rapid upscaling. Responsible for the investment is "Polaris Space Ventures" (PSV), which was newly founded at the end of 2021. PSV is backed by NewSpace entrepreneur Matthias Spott, Steffen Herfurth and Diederik Kelder. According to their own statements, PSV will invest in young companies in the NewSpace industry. PSV also plans to proactively support the definition and building of the future space ecosystem. The amount of PSV's investment in Polaris spacecraft is not yet known. However, the pre-Series A investment in Polaris is to be followed by a Series A round, which is expected to be completed by the end of June.
