Full story

The company led by Dr.-Ing. Alexander Kopp announced that POLARIS Space Aircraft has closed another round of financing. The investment will enable the company to expand its staff and corporate facilities and make preparations for rapid upscaling. Responsible for the investment is "Polaris Space Ventures" (PSV), which was newly founded at the end of 2021. PSV is backed by NewSpace entrepreneur Matthias Spott, Steffen Herfurth and Diederik Kelder. According to their own statements, PSV will invest in young companies in the NewSpace industry. PSV also plans to proactively support the definition and building of the future space ecosystem. The amount of PSV's investment in Polaris spacecraft is not yet known. However, the pre-Series A investment in Polaris is to be followed by a Series A round, which is expected to be completed by the end of June.
